Animation featured at Samsung KX
Within Walls
This project explores how confinement and spatial restriction during the COVID-19 pandemic can reshape perception, emotion, and interaction with everyday environments. The concept was developed in response to the experience of prolonged isolation, focusing on how limited physical space can influence mental and emotional states.
The outcome combines two motion pieces and a printed zine. One animation visualizes the feeling of being enclosed within architectural boundaries, using repetition, compression, and rhythm to communicate psychological pressure. The second explores shifting viewpoints within small environments, transforming familiar spaces into alternative realities. These perspectives were connected through the idea of a floating platform guiding the viewer toward a portal, representing adaptation, imagination, and emotional escape.
The project was selected for exhibition at Samsung KX as part of The Home of the Future, a digital showcase created in collaboration with students from Central Saint Martins. The exhibition explored the evolving role of the home as a space for work, rest, creativity, and identity.
This work reflects my interest in visual storytelling, motion, and immersive narratives, as well as my approach to translating abstract concepts into structured and engaging visual experiences.
